Workshop Overview

Discover the art of fine art floral photography in this hands-on workshop at National Camera. Open to all skill levels, this class is perfect for those looking to build their portfolio or explore new creative techniques. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of composition, lighting, and storytelling while learning how to create beautiful floral images.

Led by NCE educator and professional photographer Becky Clark-Dullinger, this workshop is all about finding your inspiration and learning new techniques. We’ll start with an introduction to fine art photography and the key elements that will help take your flower photography to the next level. Following the presentation, Becky will demonstrate lighting, composition, and scene styling. Once the demo is done, it’s time to dive in and create! You’ll have the chance to experiment with different setups using a variety of flowers, props, and backgrounds, while receiving hands-on guidance to refine your skills.

What to Bring 

• Camera: DSLR, mirrorless, or film cameras are welcome.
• Lenses: Focal lengths between 35mm and 100mm are ideal, but feel free to bring any lenses that fit your creative approach. If you have a macro lens, we encourage you to bring it along to capture intricate details of the flowers..
• Tripod: If you have one, bring it along for added stability. NCE will provide a limited amount of tripods for use during the workshop.
• Memory Cards & Batteries: Be sure to bring extra memory cards and fully charged batteries.

We will provide LED lighting equipment, reflectors, and a select number of tripods for attendees to use during the workshop.

Each attendee will take home a full-color, spiral-bound workshop guide, filled with key techniques, creative exercises, and expert tips to continue exploring fine art floral photography beyond the workshop.
