About National Camera Exchange Family owned and operated for over 100 years, National Camera Exchange provides expert customer service along with the largest selection of photo & video products in the Midwest. We would like to thank all of our valued customers whose loyal support has sustained us for the last 100 years.   Our Beginnings In 1914, Herman Liss opened a small storefront in downtown Minneapolis with one used camera and a promise to treat customers with respect and dignity. With humble roots we started out as a small photo store selling film, cameras, and accessories, specializing in used equipment and trade-ins. Today, National Camera Exchange is still family owned by third generation president Jon Liss, remaining true to the same service commitment his grandfather and father applied to the business throughout the last century.
