Please note: Due to high demand, we’ve added a Saturday workshop. This will cover the same material and format as the Sunday session.
Join us as we explore the world of fine art floral photography with an in-person workshop at National Camera on Saturday, April 5th. This workshop is aimed at photographers of any skill level who would like to learn how to create fine art floral images using simple tabletop setups and controlled lighting.
Led by NCE educator and professional photographer Becky Clark-Dullinger, we will begin the workshop with an introduction to the key elements of flower photography, followed by a live demonstration of studio lighting techniques. Becky will share her step-by-step approach to lighting the subject that includes a combination of artistic vision, technical skill, and creative expression. After laying the groundwork, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and dive into hands-on exploration! In the hands-on portion of the workshop, you’ll experiment with single-stem compositions, floral arrangements, and abstract techniques while exploring the unique shapes, forms, and textures of each flower. With expert guidance, you’ll learn how to use props and backgrounds to enhance your images and bring out the natural beauty of your subject.

We will provide LED lighting equipment, reflectors, and a select number of tripods for attendees to use during the workshop.
Each attendee will take home a full-color, spiral-bound workshop guide, filled with key techniques, creative exercises, and expert tips to continue exploring fine art floral photography beyond the workshop.
