Join Leica product educators Matt Butzow and John Kreidler for a walk around St. Anthony Main on Sunday, August 6th. St. Anthony Main is located right on the Mississippi River, and is a little pocket of Northeast Minneapolis worth exploring for street photography and historical architecture. From its cobblestone road to historic theater, cafes and views of downtown, St. Anthony Main offers a variety of opportunities to enhance your street photography skills.
We’ll meet up near The Main Cinema (formerly St. Anthony Main Theatre) on SE Main St at 9am for orientation and a brief instruction period before heading out to capture images around the neighborhood. Our team of experts will offer guidance on camera settings and lens choices, as well offer tips on how to create strong compositions through storytelling.
A select amount of loaner gear will be provided by Leica, featuring the SL2-S + 24-70mm f/2.8 camera kits—if you intend to borrow gear during this event, please be sure to arrive during the check-in window, as loaner gear is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note: You must have a valid driver’s license to check out Leica gear. After our initial meetup, you’ll be free to explore the area on your own or stick around the experts for more guided, personalized advice. Whatever you need, we’re here to help!
Join us for an in-store demo with Leica following the photo walk at our store in Golden Valley. Matt and John will be available to answer questions and will have additional gear on display from 11am-3pm.

As this event will be held outdoors rain or shine, we recommend that you dress comfortably and accordingly for the weather. Pack your camera, lenses, and charge up your batteries before the event! We also recommend bringing additional batteries and memory cards just in case, and a blank memory card if you intend to check-out a Leica camera for this event.
