Rediscover downtown Minneapolis during our in-person photo walk with Tamron! Join local photographer and National Tamron Tech Rep Jillian Bell on a journey through some of the most iconic places downtown, starting up on the Observation Deck at the Foshay Tower at 9am. From there, we’ll discover dramatic shapes and lines within the nearby IDS Center skyscraper. After leaving The Foshay, we will take a couple of quick stops around the area and will conclude the tour at noon back at the Foshay Tower, bringing us full circle.
Jillian will provide insight on how to capture downtown scenes using the many lines, shapes, colors, and patterns in the architecture, in addition to the unique lighting that takes place among the buildings. Jillian will also dive into how lens selection can be used to enhance your ability to take what you are seeing in person and capturing the image creatively in your photographs.
Tamron lenses will be on hand during the event for participants to try out on compatible cameras. This photo walk will be held outdoors rain or shine, so please dress accordingly and prepare to walk approximately one mile throughout the duration of the event.
Registration for this event is $29, which includes the admission fee to the Foshay Observation Deck and Museum. Registration is limited to 15 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot early! Check-in is between 8:45-9am, please make sure to allow time for parking.
