National Camera Exchange is looking for full- and part-time Sales Associates at our Golden Valley location. Excellent customer service and teamwork are two things that make us stand apart from our competition. These objectives are achieved within this position by selling photo/video equipment and accessories and ensuring that the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded by problem-solving and answering questions. Starting pay of $17/hr.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist customers with the purchase of new equipment and/or the trade-in of old equipment, accessories, and supplies. (70%)
- Assist customers in the store
- Answer phones after first page
- Qualify customer’s needs
- Accurately ring all transactions through GERS
- Prepare items for shipping when necessary
- Accurately write up and ring repairs with all required information into GERS
- Resolve customer problems
- Provide additional customer support after the sale
- Attend product trainings and keep updated on current product information
- Accurately evaluate used equipment; has manager approve values if necessary
- Prepare and label returned and/or open box products for resale
- Assist in Photofinishing Department when necessary by writing up and ringing out orders
Contribute to keeping store/department and assigned area clean. (30%)
- Stock merchandise as needed
- Organize, straighten, and clean merchandise
- Front and face merchandise
- Ensure all merchandise is accurately tagged and priced
- Stock supplies (bubble packs, invoices, shopping bags, marking tags, etc.).

Photo Lab Technician
Job type: Part-time
Department: Lab
Reports to: Lab Manager
National Camera Exchange is also looking for a part-time Photo Lab Technician at our Golden Valley location. Excellent photofinishing and teamwork are two things that make us stand apart from our competition. These objectives are achieved within this position by providing the best quality photofinishing and gifting products in a timely and efficient manner, and by ensuring the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded by resolving issues and answering questions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes and prints customer’s photofinishing to NCE quality standards. (85%)
- Performs morning setup procedures on machines
- Helps produce gifting products as needed
- Processes orders from digital media
- Processes prints and sleeves negatives
- Knows procedure for dealing with unreadable files/media
- Inspects prints for color and density accuracy and does any necessary color corrections
- Initials orders printed on Google log sheet
- Package order properly for delivery
- Loads paper into magazines when needed
- Shuts down machines according to procedure
- Scans prints, slides, and negatives
- Makes EVAS (Easy View Archival System) from digital media
- Prints all online and email orders, and responds to customer’s emails in a timely manner
- Prints, mounts, laminates, and packages big prints on Epson
- Prints and wraps canvas
- Handles phone calls and internal customers
- Transfers inventory to other labs as requested
- Attends required training sessions
Maintains lab and all photofinishing equipment. (10%)
- Adheres to safety procedures and uses safety equipment as required
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment
- Performs some machine repairs and troubleshooting of equipment and computers
- Makes sure lab is clean and operational
- Puts away stock as needed
Maintains record-keeping system. (5%)
- Writes down daily totals from machines at the end of day
- Makes notes in logbook as needed
- Communicates problems and concerns to manager
- Helps with inventory and store report when needed
