Combining a timeless vintage appearance with an optical redesign, the silver Summilux-M 50mm F1.4 Lens from Leica is a fast normal-length prime for M-mount system cameras. An ideal choice for portraiture, this manual-focusing lens creates a soft and flattering bokeh when used at wider apertures and sharp, detailed imagery when stopped down. As with previous Summilux lenses, this 50mm F1.4 is distinguished by its impressive maximum aperture of F1.4, which allows working reliably in dimly lit scenes.

Redesign of a Classic

Crafted to replicate the unique bokeh produced from the original version of this lens released in 1959, this modernized rendition incorporates the latest manufacturing techniques, glass elements, and lens coatings to ensure excellent optical performance. This lens marks the fifth addition to the Leica Classic Line and is the first in the brand’s newly designed packaging.

Its brass construction with chrome-plated surface finish gives the lens a sturdy design and attractive appearance.Made in Germany, this prime lens is made by hand with technical precision.

Weighing just 14.7 oz, it is both durable and travel-friendly.
